​​Minutes of October 2, 2023 C.V.W.C. meeting

Darrell called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.

• Roll call of officers was taken with 4 members absent.
• Minutes of the August 7 meeting were read and approved.
• Financial report it was given by Jeff and approved.
• Tournaments:
  • Genoa will be October 21.
• DNR report:
  • Brett Morris – City sprayed N. Prairie Lake in late July for cattails.
  • S. Prairie shocked
    • 23 white suckers
    • 8” bass
    • 6”-11.5” crappies
    • 9” bluegills
  • George Wyth – nets set for panfish – stunted.
  • New W. Viking Road pond has been stocked with bass, will stock bluegills and catfish at later date.
• Pizza Ranch fundraiser will be October 11 – 4:30-8:00.
• Walleye stocking and highway cleanup will be October 14. Last chance to get NTC qualifier volunteer event.
• UNI Dome shows 2024.
  • Registration is $200 each show for double booth.
  • Boat Show is Jan. 26-28.
  • Sport Show is March 8-10.
• CRANDIC Walleye Club holding sale of Gary Speicher fishing equipment on Oct. 13.
• Thank you was received from Belz family.
• Bob Piper – 97 years young!
• Rod giveaway drawing will be held at November meeting.
• Drawing was held for Scheels gift cards Kenny Roeder and Donnie Soash.
• Meeting adjourned.
