​​Minutes of January 4, 2024 C.V.W.C. meeting

Tim called the meeting to order at 7:03 pm with 21 members present.

• Roll call of officers was taken with 2 members absent.
• Minutes of the December 4 meeting were read and approved.
• Financial report it was given by Jeff and approved.
• 2024 Tournament dates have been set.
  • Iowa permits are on file.
• DNR report:
  • Lori and Chase will speak at the February meeting.
  • Casey Lake at Hickory Hills dirt being moved.
• Banner update was discussed.
• Board recommends a donation of $200 be given to Amvets for use of the facility was discussed. Motion put forward and seconded. Motion passed.
• 12 memberships to The Walleye Federation were covered by the Club, ensuring the $1,000,000 liability coverage through TWF for Club events.
• Official Recognition Banquet for 2023 will be February 3 at UAW Hall.

  • 10 tickets will be distributed to each member for door prizes.
  • Silent auction items.
  • Recognition of sponsors and members presentation.
• Iowa Boat, RV and Vacation Show will be January 26-28.
  • Sign-up sheet passed around.
  • Online sign-up is on the Calendar page of the website.
  • Raffle items:
    • LP griddle
    • Meat bundle
    • Kids’ fishing poles
• Pizza Ranch official Club fundraiser will be February 28.
• Nominations for Board members and Tournament Board taken.
• Drawing was held for Scheels gift cards: Steve Grimm and Peyton Groen.
• Meeting adjourned @ 7:41.
