​​Minutes of March 4, 2024 C.V.W.C. meeting​

• Tim called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm with 27 members present.
• Roll call of officers was taken with 3 members absent. Jeff H. came in later.
• Minutes of the February 5 meeting were read and approved.
• Financial report it was given by Jeff and approved.
• Elections were started.
• Thank you from Cedar Falls Fishing Team for sponsorship was read.
• Tournaments:
  • Payout structure has been changed:
    • 1st – changed from 35% to 30%
    • 2nd – 25% unchanged
    • 3rd – 20% unchanged
    • 4th – 15% unchanged
    • 5th – changed from 5% to 10%
  • Big Fish Pot has been changed:
    • 1st – reduced from 50% to 35%
    • 2nd – 30% unchanged
    • 3rd – 20% unchanged
    • 4th – 15% added
  • Boat numbers will be drawn after this meeting.
  • First tournament is April 6 out of Harpers Ferry City Ramp.

  • Lynn Cook at April meeting.
  • Manchester rep. at May meeting.
  • Martin Lake renovation at Sweet’s Marsh is complete.
  • Hickory Hills Casey Lake renovation – Milo will check on tomorrow.
• Pizza Ranch Official Fundraiser:
  • $163 tips and $163.06 proceeds.
• Outdoor Journey for Girls:
  • July 16-18.
  • Fishing will take place at George Wyth Lake.
  • Board recommendation to sponsor five girls at $150 each.

• Trout Stocking Kids’ Official Event will take place April 20.
  • Parking variance has been obtained.
  • Sign-up at April meeting.
  • Hot dogs and giveaways were discussed.
• Southdale Elementary has asked us to provide minnow races at their May 17 family day. Angelo and Milo volunteered.
• Iowa Sports and RV Show will be March 8-10.
