Minutes of November 6, 2023 C.V.W.C. meeting

Tim called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.

• Roll call of officers was taken with 3 members absent.
• Minutes of the October 2 meeting were read and approved.
• Financial report it was given by Jeff and approved.
• Tournaments:
  • Genoa was October 21.
  • 14 boats participated
    • Bud Jelinek & Kyle Berger – 16.46# - B.F. #1 9.35#
    • Carl Holten & Marty Stuefen – 13.56# - B.F. #3 4.07#
    • Mike Goltz & Billy Martin – 9.65# - B.F. #2 6.14#
    • Scott Schipper & Tony Patterson – 8.56#
    • Tim Ahrens & Tom Ahrens – 6.19#
• Walley stocking - $5000 spent on 5-6 inch walleyes @ $3 each – 555 each in Dike, George Wyth & Big Woods
• Pizza Ranch fundraiser - $169 in tips & $172.74 % of sales.
• Trout Stocking will be April 20.
• DNR report:
  • Nets for panfish placed in George Wyth Lake.
    • 6-9” bluegills
    • Crappies up to 9”
    • 1  19.5” bass
    • 2 9” perch
    • No northerns
• Highway cleanup recovered a lot of junk.
• Banquet will be February 3 at UAW Hall.
  • Committee will meet after December meeting.
  • Members only.
  • No charge. Free-will donation.
  • Online registration.
• The Walleye Federation – 12 memberships needed for Club to get liability insurance.
  • $40 / membership x 12 memberships
  • Moved by Angelo, 2nd by Terry Blank for Club to pay for 12 memberships. Motion approved.
  • Boat Show will be January 26-28.
  • $200 for double booth.
  • Raffle for 22” grill from Camping World & meat bundle.
• Received $100 donation from Mike Bowers in memory of Steve Michael.
• 2024 Tournament schedule is set.
• 2023 Rod Raffle ticket drawn – Rick Harris winner.
• Family Fun Day either August 11 or 18.
• Jeff would like Tournament entries to be paid to Tournament Officials in 2024.
• Drawing was held for Scheels gift cards: Scott Schiffer and Jeff Soash.
• Meeting adjourned @ 7:34.
