Minutes of November 1, 2022 C.V.W.C. meeting

Tim called the meeting to order at 7pm.

​Regular order of business was suspended to allow for special guest speakers, Lori Eberhard, George Wyth State park manager and Lynn Cook, Black Hawk Co. Conservation Officer to speak. Their presentations included the current conditions and activities at the Park and Lynn provided the club with his D.N.R. background being new to Iowa coming from a small town in Nebraska as a D.N.R. law enforcement officer. They were both well received.

Meeting resumed at 7:35 pm. Roll call of officers  taken , one absent

Jeff Soash gave the Treasurer's report and was read and approved

Tim provided the Lansing two day Tournament results, noting several of the teams had all time high weights recorded. With Mike Everding and Billy Martin scoring almost 60lbs. with 10 fish!

Milow provided the D.N.R. report and Tim read the details of the Walleye Creel count on the Cedar River from Plainfield to Cedar Falls.

Tim gave the Presidents report noting the Board had set next year’s Trout Stocking at North Prairie Lake for April 23rd. with a back-up date of April 30th. He noted our successful Walleye stocking and road cleanup that took place October 16th. All Club 12 Executive Board member elections will take place in March of 2022. The membership approved the contract with Iowa Sport shows for us to participate in the next Boat and Sport shows at the UNI-Dome. Next year’s Club’s Pizza Ranch Fundraiser is set for Wednesday February 16th.202

Drawing was held for two $20.00 SCHEELS gift cards.
