Minutes of July 5, 2021 C.V.W.C. meeting

​Tim Ahrens called the meeting to order at 7pm. 

Roll call of Board members- (3 members absent)

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

Board and committee reports were presented

Treasurer; Jason presented the club financial numbers and we are in good operating condition. Report was approved.

Tournament; Tim presented the results on the Pool 4, Lake Pepin event and discussed the level of participation and the positives of C.R.R. as a way of preventing and reducing Walleye mortality.

D.N.R.; Milo and Angelo reported the ongoing fish study is almost done on the Cedar River with only a few Walleye’s left to be completed. The Iowa D.N.R. fisheries Biologist is willing to give a presentation at a club meeting later this year as his schedule permits.

President;  Tim discussed the upcoming July 10th kid’s fishing event at Fleet Farm and 7 members volunteered to participate. Family Fun Day at George Wyth is set for Sunday August 15th , noon to 3pm. 14 members signed up to help the various activities. A $50.00 memorial was given to our Hawkeye Community College outdoor scholarship fund. The replacement of our kid’s fishing poles was discussed.

Tim presented several fishing set-ups he uses for rigging and trolling.
