Minutes of December 5, 2022 C.V.W.C. meeting

• Darrell called the meeting to order at 6:59 pm with 20 members present.
• Roll call of officers was taken with three members absent.
• Minutes of the November 7 meeting were read and approved.
• Financial report it was given by Jeff and approved.
• Tournaments:
  • Iowa permits obtained for 2023
  • Wisconsin permits not needed for tournaments with less than 20 boats
• DNR report:
  • Ryan Kurtz has volunteered to help Milo as DNR liason.
  • CVWC has requested April trout stocking take place on Saturday while kids are present.
• 2023 Boat and Sportshow were discussed:
  • Meat bundle and grill have been purchased for the Boat Show.
  • Sticky notes will be $175 for 500. Approved to purchase.
• Membership dues payable for 2023 calendar year.
• A committee is needed to plan a banquet if members would like to hold one. No volunteers, no banquet.
• $120 payment was authorized for use of the Amvet Hall.
• Another Pizza Ranch fundraiser will be held February 15, 4:30-8:00 pm.
• Suggestions for speakers for 2023 meetings:
  • DNR Fisheries Biologist.
  • Brett Morris, City of Cedar Falls City lakes.
  • Corps of Engineers on conditions and plans on the Mississippi River.
• Drawing was held for Scheels gift cards: Scott Schipper and Milo Gadow.
• Drawing was held for silver dollars: Jim Dengler and Jeff Soash
• Meeting adjourned at 7:20.
