Minutes of October 6, 2025 Official C.V.W.C. meeting.
Tim called the meeting to order at 7:07 with 21 members present.

• Roll call of Board members – one absent.
• September 1 minutes read and approved.
• Treasurer report by Jeff read and approved.
• Tournament report:
  • Big Spirit Lake Tournament was held September 20.
    • 28 boats.
    • 40 new members.
    • 4-way tie for Big Fish.
    • Prizes donation from Kableles Trading Post.
  • Pool 9 to be November 1.
    • Take-off at 7:30.
    • Launch anywhere.
    • Check-in & take-off from Black Hawk Park.
• DNR Report:
  • Petition for river stocking:
    • Has been received and reviewed.
    • A response will be forthcoming.
  • 2025 river shocking:
    • West Fork – only 6 walleyes in 1.5 mile stretch.
    • Cedar and Shellrock – fair to poor numbers.
    • Waverly below Green Bridge:
      • 12 walleyes.
      • Biggest was 28 inches.
  • Casey Lake (Hickory Hills) is 3 feet below outlet.
  • 32 inch walleye from Cedar in Cedar Falls.
• President’s Report:
  • Cedar Falls Fishing Team banquet:
    • October 19.
    • Orchard Hill Church.
    • CVWC members are invited.
  • Pizza Ranch Official Fundraiser:
    • October 15.
    • Waverly Pizza Ranch.
  • Walleye Stocking and Road Cleanup:
    • October 18.
    • Steve Grimm and Steve Maley in charge.
    • Start at 8:00 at Grundy County Lake in Dike.
    • Need 8 people for cleanup.​
