Minutes of May 4, 2026 Official C.V.W.C. meeting.
Guest speakers:

• Mike Seipker, Iowa DNR Northeast District Fisheries Supervisor
• Dan Kirby, Iowa DNR Manchester District Fisheries Biologist

Peyton called the meeting to order at 7:53 with 24 members present.

• Roll call of Board members – three absent.
• April 6 minutes read and approved.
• Treasurer report by Jeff read and approved.
• Tournament report:
  • Pool 9 tournament was postponed until June due to lack of registrants.
  • Clear Lake:
    • 20 boats signed up, 18 participated.
    • Good reports on QR code/Google Drive process.
  • Storm Lake to be May 30:
    • 12 boats so far.
    • Boat numbers to be attached to motor.
    • Bait shop at ramp will be open.
• President’s Report:
  • Trout Stocking Kids’ Day:
    • 250-350 estimated attendance.
    • 1800 trout stocked.
    • Giveaways by Club, Scheels and Milo.
    • Thank you was received from Dan Kirby.
  • Cedar Falls Fishing Team Sponsorship delivered by Peyton and Jay.
  • Sale of our fish scale to Hank’s:
    • $800 retail value for new scale.
    • Motion by Steve G., 2nd by Steve M. to exchange scale for Hank’s gift card to purchase tackle for giveaways.
    • Jay will email Noah.
  • Outdoor Journey for Girls:
    • One signed up at Trout Event.
  • Logo update.
    • TWF has settled for us.
    • New logo proposed:
      • Waverly artist has volunteered to produce new artwork for us for a nominal fee.
      • Artwork will be owned by the Club.
      • Moved by Larry S., 2nd by Jay D. to proceed with new logo artwork. Motion passed.
      • Existing inventory of clothing to be disposed by drawing at June meeting.
    • Printer in Waverly to be used for new merchandise:
      • Printer will use their online site to order merchandise.
      • Link will be added to our website.
