Minutes of June 1, 2026 Official C.V.W.C. meeting.
Peyton called the meeting to order at 7:03 with 18 members present.

• Roll call of Board members – three absent.
• May 4 minutes read and approved.
• Treasurer report by Jeff read and approved.
• Tournament report:
  • Storm Lake Tournament
    • 20 boats.
    • Only one boat blanked.
    • 3-way tie for 4th Big Fish.
    • Boat numbers place on boat motor.
  • Pool 9 tournament to be June 27.
• DNR Report:
  • Walleye stocked by DNR May 29:
    • Rathbun saved five ponds for walleye rearing.
    • 1¼-1½ inch fingerlings.
    • Request was placed for 100,000 walleyes from Rathbun Hatchery.
    • 100% of request stocked.
    • Cedar River:
      • Evansdale – 20,000
      • George Wyth boat ramp – 28,650
      • Washington Union boat ramp – 20,000
    • Shellrock River:
      • Heery Woods State Park, Clarksville – 1075
      • Shellrock dam – 1000
    • West Fork Shellrock River:
      • Big Marsh Access – 875
  • DNR stocked 500 2 inch northerns in George Wyth Lake.
  • DNR shocking:
    • Upper Iowa River – 6 foot lake sturgeon
    • George Wyth Lake:
      • 15-17 inch walleyes
      • 8-9 lb. wipers
• President’s Report:
  • New logo:
    • Initial rendering has been received from artist – some changes are needed before presentation for approval.
  • Scale:
    • Noah refused our first offer.
    • Steve G. to try to negotiate for small tackle.
  • Outdoor Journey for Girls:
    • Sign-ups needed.
  • Walleye stocking:
    • Moved by Angelo, 2nd by Milo to stock George Wyth and Big Woods this year – carried.
    • Price this year for 6-8 inch walleyes to be the same as last year.
  • Family Fun Day:
    • August 16, 12:00-3:00.
    • No bounce house allowed by DNR.
  • Redwing Fun Trip – date and location suggestions needed.
  • Wild Bunch LOW trip will be June 13-23.
• Clothing give-away held to dispose of inventory prior to logo change.
