Minutes of February 3, 2025 Official C.V.W.C. meeting.
​Guest speaker was Lori Eberhard of the Iowa DNR who gave reports on:

• George Wyth Park.
• Outdoor Journey for Girls.
  • July 15-17
  • Cost is now $175
  • Fishing day to be July 17
• Family Fun Day to be August 17.
• All Park Rangers are to become Conservation Officers, not assigned to a specific park.
• Lori will celebrate 25 years with Iowa DNR in April.

 
Tim called the meeting to order at 7:22 with 25 members present.

• Roll call of Board members – all present.
• January 6 minutes read and approved.
• Treasurer report by Jeff read and approved.
  • Deere match may end this year.
  • Boat and Vacation Show was our best yet.
• Tournament report:
  • There was a four-way tie for Angler of the Year.
  • NTC:
    • Lake Saint Francis Case, South Dakota.
    • We received four spots.
    • Will apply for a fifth spot.
• DNR Report:
  • Information on Club stocking of walleyes over the past 20 years was submitted to the Iowa DNR.
• President’s Report:
  • Three new members from the Boat and Vacation Show.
  • Banquet committee is working on plans.
    • Approximately 60 will be attending.
    • Trophy Sponsors have been notified.
    • Pflueger baitcast reel donated by Mary Jones, wife of Richard Jones, to be used for silent auction at Banquet.
  • Annual rod raffle:
    • St. Croix Avid rod has been donated.
    • Shimano reel has been donated.
    • Hank’s plastics have been donated.
  • 2025 Memberships are due.
  • Hank’s Ice Derby to be Feb. 8 – Use of Club scale has been requested.
  • Moved by Scott, 2nd by Jay to have a fall drawing for the re-donated Fareway gift card.
  • Pizza Ranch Official Fundraiser:
    • To be February 19.
    • Sign-up sheet passed around.
    • No further information on stolen tip jar.
  • Club has four $50 certificates from Custom Covers for Club members.
