Minutes of December 1, 2025 Official C.V.W.C. meeting.
Tim called the meeting to order at 7:00.

• Roll call of Board members – three absent.
• November 3 minutes not read.
• Treasurer report by Donnie read and approved.
• Tournament report:
  • Clear Lake tournament has been rescheduled to April 18.
  • May move Pool 9 from April 4 to June because of Easter on April 5 depending on sign-up numbers.
  • Need to clarify “best five tournaments” for team of year points in Tournament Rules.
• DNR Report:
  • Dike and Gladbrook both shocked:
    • 12 walleyes in each.
    • Lengths 13-14 inches.
• President’s Report:
  • Boat Show – January 23-25
    • Have $250 gift card for Fareway and $250 Scheels gift card for raffle.
  • Letter from DNR in response to petition about river strain walleye:
    • CVWC could help Rathbun Hatchery physically.
    • DNR seeking $150,000-$200,000 for RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture System).
    • CVWC could collect free-will donations by placing buckets at Boat Show, Hank’s, Cook’s, and Sport Show with option for Club match.
    • Mark thinks we will have walleye for spring stocking but Fairport Hatchery is closed.
    • Question was asked about the difference between river strain and lake strain of walleye.
  • TWF membership.
    • Must have 12 members at $40 each.
    • Moved by Jay – 2nd by Darrell – carried.
  • Donate $200 to Amvets for use of facility:
    • Moved by Steve G. – 2nd by Jay – carried.
  • Membership renewals begin January 1.
    • Ways to promote new memberships?
  • Committee/Event chair volunteers for 2026 – see below for list.
  • Nominations for Officers, Executive Board and Tournament Board will commence January 5.
  • Hank’s Ice Jamboree seminar will be December 13, 3pm-6pm.
  • Tim sent a thank you to the three Scheels associates for their donations to walleye stocking.
