Minutes of April 7, 2025 C.V.W.C. meeting

Tim called the meeting to order at 7:05 with 23 members present & 6 guests from Cedar Falls Fishing Team

• Roll call of Board members – 2 absent.
• March 3 minutes read and approved.
• Treasurer report by Jeff read and approved.
• Tournament report:
  • Guttenberg to be April 12.
  • Clear Lake to be May 3.
  • 14 Scheels gift cards have been donated for drawing among teams not cashing checks.
  • New teams should be recognized.
• President’s Report:
  • Three members having health issues:
    • Terry VanLaningham.
    • Milo.
    • Kenny Roeder.
  • Sport Show:
    • $1299 (does not include expenses).
    • $2500 both shows – best results ever.
  • Future events – volunteers needed to run events:
    • Trout Stocking Event – April 26.
    • Road Cleanup – IDOT renewal needed.
    • Contact North Star Fish Hatchery.
  • Pizza Ranch Fundraiser
    • March 19.
    • $313.85 in tips and donation.
  • Lori Eberhard request for May 18:
    • Help with fishing instruction for 15 ladies.
    • Cook fish?
  • Fish are needed for George Wyth event and Family Fun Day.
  • Donation from Terry VanLaningham for scholarship.
  • Board recommendation;
    • Price needed for Hank’s tackle boxes for kids.
    • NTC invitations
      • Club pays $300/team up to 5 teams.
      • Moved Steve G.
        • Cover $300 for 6 teams this year
        • Amend bylaws to reduce to $200/team with no limit on number of teams.
